Today is the kickoff date for a new monthly fusion show. We're just getting our feet wet, so bear with us.
Suggestions welcome.

Me too. I will be interested to see how guys hear that record in the now. I was totally wowed in the moment, but maybe it doesn't carry that impact today

When I first heard Lost Tribe, it was def. one of those "Wow" moments....they are few and far between these days--thet feeling when you discover a new band that is right up your alley. My last big moment like that was probably discovering Hiromi's Brain. Gosh, it's been a while...

Oh geez...I never go that long! I just had a moment like that a few months ago, with Grand Discovery.
You narrowly escaped being tabbed to be in the 4chair for this episode, Cone. If Luis had declined, I was coming to you next!

Luis always has some unique descriptive way of phrasing his comments.

Yep! He is money in the bank on these things. Entertaining and knowledgeable. Happy I booked him for it. I have Mike Jacobs set for the June episode.

Opinions are all over the place here, with these self-titled debut albums. What's your ranking?

Opinions are all over the place here, with these self-titled debut albums. What's your ranking? The same as your choices. I also agree with Mike's comments about Dave Binney. He has some really interesting albums; probably my favourites are Point Game, Balance and Anacapa. And you definitely want to try to find Adam Rogers' killer fusion guitar trio album DICE.
