Dixie Dregs Dregs of the Earth I have only three cds from 1980. I would recommend the other four in my top 5 at least, but I think only Rahmann ever caught a cd release.

Maybe controversial, but I think Freddie Hubbard - Live at the North Sea Jazz Festival is one of the best fusion albums from 1980. Hard driving electric bass (Larry Kleins) & drums (Sinclair Lott) along with Billy Childs on rhodes propel the 6 tunes. Good SQ as well.

I can guarantee it's not, even though I've never heard it. Mostly because it's a 1981 release.
