Umberto Fiorentino - Inside Colors If you don't already know him, check out Rocco Zifarelli for Italian guitar driven fusion. Others of varying levels include Nico Stufano (Holdsworth inspired to put it mildly), Gianluca Mosole, Lello Panico, Alberto Milano (Henderson inspired), Alex Milella (Holdsworth and Henderson), Dario Chiazzolino, Federico Procopio, Alessio Menconi (played with Cobham), Corrado Rustici, Federico Casagrande, Alessandro Benvenuti, Antonio Onorato (Metheny style), Carlo Fimiani, Ciro Manna, Francesco Bruno, Livio Lamonea, Luca Gelli, Saverio Pietropaolo, Stefano Micarelli, Walter Beltrami, Mimmo Langella... Maybe this should be a thread on Italian fusion but it occurred to me here so there you go... On bass, I would look for Pippo Matino and Dario Deidda but there are others too.

Yeah, I have Zifarelli - Lyndon. Solid record. I have some Chiazzolino, Rustici, and Benvenuti stuff, and I've heard Stufano, Milella and Manna at least.
And I have a few Pippo Matino's. Never really thought about how about many Italian fusion purveyors there were out there. Pretty cool.

Probably some of Rocco's best playing and you might want to look into Xenia which is a project he works with as well. Fusion has historically been relatively big in Italy, like prog as well. There are tons of projects which feature a track or two from Henderson or Stern (Spajazzy, Mimmo Langella, Alberto Milano, Pippo, Andrea Marchesini, Andrea Marcelli, Cristiano Parato and many others for example). I also mentioned Mario Guarini's project with Stern, Colaiuta, Bona, Simon Phillips and Mike Landau just recently. Massimo DeAngelis too has a recent album with Otmaro Ruiz & Chico Huff. Try some of the other players I listed and see what you think. If you are looking for people under the radar, you will find a few. Dario Deidda has been playing bass some with Rosenwinkel recently too. On sax, Maurizio Giammarco had a 'supergroup' of sorts with Umberto Fiorentino called Lingomania by the way.

Got that Matino w/ Rocco and Stern...Bassa Tensione. I have 3 or 4 Parato's, a couple of Marcelli's and a Marchesini too. They all tend to be good records, though none really stands out. Also have a Pippo and Rocco boot from 2010. I'll keep an eye out for the rest.

One of my Italian favorites, keyboardist Carlo Mezzanotte is worth a mention. He has released three albums with his band Syntaxis. The first two, Visibile and Cieli diversi, are both great jazz fusion albums. With the third one, La linea, he took a couple of steps closer to jazz, but it's still good listening. On his (now gone?) website, he wrote about upcoming fourth Syntaxis release (I think there was even a title for it), but that hasn't happened yet.
