My top 15 would also include these:
Crucis - Los Delirios Del Mariscal Edition Spéciale - Aliquante Fermáta - Piesen Z Hôl' Kraan - Wiederhören Predmestje - Brez Naslova PSI - Horizonte Wasa Express - s/t
Couple of comments here:
First off, same kind of deal with Los Delirios Del Mariscal as with Elegie (which is one of the others on my list). The cover and labels were printed in '76, but here's the catch. We're talking about release date. The Aurora was recorded in '77 as well, but other than for those of us in DFW snappy enough to have tuned into The Zoo that day and thought to tape it, the music was buried for 20 years. Anyway, back to Crucis. My CD is the Belgian release, and in the liner notes it says 1977. I believe the liner notes for the other 2-fer of those albums mention that as the release date as well. So RYM and Discogs can say what they want, I'm sticking with '77.
The Kraan and Predmestje are borderline. But not all fusion has to have the a bridge pickup, hall reverb guitar over Rhodes accompaniment with syncopated 7/4 snare and tom. Half of the fun of any genre is the experimentation that can happen within and around it, so with regard to allowance for other influences, I am perhaps a bit more accommodating than most.
That said, these 2, which rank high on my '77 list are not included here because they are prog rock with jazz influences no matter how you look at it. And man, I really abhor pigeonholing music, but for the purposes of this exercise....
Atila - Reviure Smak - Crna Dama aka Black Lady
Finally there are these, two of which belong on the "one-off" list y'all have going, and are quite good, are most definitely "fusion", but don't make the cut here. YMMV, which is why I've listed them.
Impuls - Impuls Mosaik - No. 1 Pekka Pohjola - Keesojen Lehto aka The Mathematician's Air Display
