One for JaySee: www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-43414145But seriously I can never remember what I bought or listened to at the end of the year so my suggestion is that we post outstanding releases as and when we listen to them. You can always remove them if you change your mind later. What does everyone else think?

Happy country full of miserable people. Great idea. I make this one sticky and release the 2017 one.

I don't have digital downloads or Spotify stuff on RYM, so this early release of 'Best of 2018' works for me. It's interesting to see how the list develops.

Good point JaySee. The last piece of new music I bought was Richard Hallebeek's One Voice which was released at the end of December last year. Listening to Spotify a lot more these days.

Should we make a master list of all the 2018 releases? That would help at the end of the year.

Here's where I'm at coming down the stretch here. Not a great year at all, IMO. Not an all time great in the bunch, and not a lot of depth in the top 10. It was much better last year.
Kiyo Sen - Organizer Robert Baglione - Cronoparadox - Then & Now Channan Hanspal - Only Two Things Are Infinite Thierry Maillard - Pursuit of Happiness Federico Malaman - Life Oytun Ersan - Fusiolicious Kozo Suganuma - Drum Paradise Jeroen van Helsdingen Band - Hels Dewa Budjana - Mahandini Innersphere - s/t
Randy Waldman - Superheroes Chris Carver - Wonderland Gene Lake - The Kingdom Within Ian Alexander - Blood Eren Coskuner - Respective Taku Yabuki - Primary Colors Progger - Dystopia Lydian Collective - Adventure Tom Ibarra - Sparkling Into the Night 2 Fuse - Nebula Anton Gorbunov - Going Forward Larnell Lewis - In the Moment Elektric Market - Attraction John Escreet - Learn to Live Fenomen - Bridges Krzysztof Herdzin - Kingdom of Ants Anthony Jambon Group - Parallel Worlds FAT - #awesome ARC Trio Cristiano Parato - Attitude Noa - If Tomorrow Comes Al Dimeola - Elegany Gypsy & More LIVE Igow Willcox Quartet - LIVE! I have to agree George. This has been a very poor year for fusion music. Here are a few more in alphabetical order:
Brian Bromberg - Thicker than Water Dialeto - Live with David Cross Flying Machines - New Life Tim Garland - Weather Walker Anthony Jambon Group - Parallel Worlds Chris Lightcap - Superette Messthetics - s/t Scott Petito - Rainbow Gravity Charles Pillow Large Ensemble - Electric Miles Preston Glasgow Lowe - Something about Rainbows Paolo Ricca Group - Mumble Jason Sadites - Brief Eclipse Alex Skolnick Trio - Conundrum Skydive Trio - Sun Sparkle
Frankly the only one I can't live without is the John McLaughlin and Jimmy Herring - Live in San Francisco.

Oh, I had a couple of those that I forgot. Thanks.
I wouldn't want to live without my top 4. But yeah...I probably could.

Three more I just remembered (all of which are contenders for my top ten):
Joel Grundahl Trio - Off the Click Adam Holzman - Truth Decay Pete McCann - Pay for it on the Other Side
Incidentally I think Rob Allen - Better Late Than Never is a 2017 release.
