Currently contemplating a show featuring bands who straddle the fence between prog and fusion. Who do you think fits that description?
Some bands I see that seem to get classified both ways: Aristocrats Cosmosquad KBB Kenso LTE Meridian Voice Morglbl Planet X Special Providence Grand Discovery 7for4 Sloche Spaced Out On the Virg Virgil Donati Jonathan Lundberg Fernando Molinari Taku Yabuki
Agree or disagree? Got others to mention? Which are absolutely fusion to you? Let's hear it

Do you think to lean towards prog you would need keyboards.

I like the idea but don't know how you are going to separate them. I think shadow has a point in that I tend to associate prog with keyboards. On the other hand bands like Aristocrats and Cosmosquad seem more like guitar rock than prog. Anyway I think it will be fun.

I dunno. I don't think a singular instrument makes something more prog than fusion. Though I'm sure that statistically, most prog has keyboards. Doesn't most fusion too though?
Just testing the waters on this idea. Me, I'd say most of that list is instrumental prog. But I do see people, all the time, calling these fusion. Hell, I've seen you cite some of these bands on here, xmiles!
