My view from last night’s show at the Spud: Mitch Foreman keys, Brandon Fields sax, Jimmy Earl bass, Simon Philips drums, Lenny Castro percussion. Not my preferred seating area, but the view of Lenny’s work was really interesting - saw him doing stuff you’d never see from a normal vantage point. I picked up a Richard Simmons album at the Goodwill earlier this year. I only bought it because it was a mint shape gatefold for fifty cents a pound. I was showing it to my neighbor and started reading the credits and Steve Lukather, Buzz Feiten and Lenny Castro were in the back up band. A couple of us were at a friend's Saturday night hanging with Dennis Chambers listening to music and talking shit the whole night. I told him I was thinking of having Lukather sign it at the Toxic Monkey show, he thought that would be pretty funny.

So should I check out that Richard Simmons album? Some good solos?

Looks so weird to see the drummer wearing a bass. Nate Wood is amazing.

You gonna talk to Dennis? Find out what he's got coming out this year. The last time we saw them there Dennis wasn't feeling well and he didn't come out. We mostly talked with Jimmy. Sometimes Dennis will come over a friend's and we will sit around listening to music eating pizza or something. Nerve Bundle I believe is touring some now. Hope someone posts a show somewhere.
