Wooten, Chambers & Franceschini, Lantaren Rotterdam November 4, 2018.
It was really amazing. Victor and Dennis are both from a different planet!
A small impression (not the best quality)

Gilad Hekselman's ZuperOctave Koorenhuis Den Haag, Holland, May 24, 2019. + Ferenc Nemeth drums and Thomas Enhco keys.
Really an impressive performance!
Very convenient for me, only five minutes by bike!

It must have been bad with a stellar line up like that. What went wrong?

The one song I saw online was very low energy, so I skipped the show here. They took an old Sancious tune and just sucked the life out of it. I'm going to guess ritz says that it wasn't technical issues, but musical.

It was emotionless and without a swing or groove. Sometimes they sounded like a starting blues band.

Sancious hasn't played any fusion in ages, it seems. Berlin's heart isn't in fusion anymore, by his own admission. I'm not a Noy fan on the best of days, but he's particularly ill fitting with these guys. Chambers can't save it.

Gilad Hekselman Trio 'LantarenVenster' Rotterdam October 18, 2019. Hekselman is a phenomenon! Again a great performance.
Next shows I will see: Rymden, Aristocrats, BrandX and Wayne Krantz.

Aristocrats Boerderij Zoetermeer (Holland) January 19, 2020. Every time I see this band they become better and better. It was not allowed to take pictures. This was told in Dutch and English at the start of the concert. But a show without mobile phones in the air is a kind of relief! At the beginning of the encore I took this photo (not so good) and immediately someone of the venue came to me and said it was not allowed to take pictures. After the show I could make a photo of the basses of Bryan Beller.

Yesterday De Boerderij Zoetermeer, Holland. Richard Hallebeek Project + Lorenzo Feliciati (b), Niels Voskuil (drums) and Jeroen van Helsdingen (keys). First 'live concert' since February 2020. "Covid19-proof" (see last photo). It was quite nice to experience a live show again in a venue after such a long time.

My view from last night’s show at the Spud: Mitch Foreman keys, Brandon Fields sax, Jimmy Earl bass, Simon Philips drums, Lenny Castro percussion. Not my preferred seating area, but the view of Lenny’s work was really interesting - saw him doing stuff you’d never see from a normal vantage point.
