A guitar player who i think really captures the spirit of Allan Holdsworth is Richard Hallebeek from Holland. I first heard him play on Lalle Larsson's Weaveworld albums and his playing absolutely blew me away to the point that i actually thought it was Holdsworth, his albums are very good but not easy to find. I just wish more people knew about him as he's completely unknown and deserves much more exposure, a very tasty player with great chops. What's everyone's thoughts on Richard Hallebeek?

He is one of my faves for sure. Top 10. maybe top 5. I was about to take some virtual lessons from him years ago.

I really like him. Great tone, good songwriter. Maybe the best legato man out there now, with Garsed being so inactive these days. His albums are easy to find, really. He sells them all on his homepage. INTL shipping is a bitch these days though. Those first 3 RHP albums are cream of the crop. Not that big on Generator, Bumerang or the live album. I also like the Weaveworld stuff, as well as all his work with Seb Cornelissen

He did an album with Antii Kotikoski in 1995 (remastered in 2013) called Generator which I recommend.
