My first reaction was: oh no... an overly happy, falsetto Norwegian rapper. Oh, Richard Bona bass sickness, oh, the keyboard solo...
This one was kind of a similar reaction. It's sort of light pop/funk with some solid fusion underpinnings, and some pretty impressive bass playing.
Reminds me a bit of Knower, or Valerie Stepinov. The vocals area little over the top, but I think I like it

Not a fan of the over emotive, high vox, or the polished to a sheen cheddar pop sound.
Nothing here for me beyond the bass playing, and I can hear them both on better things than this pablum.

I think maybe he's channeling Stevie Wonder How dare you insult Stevie. Just listened to their new EP and it's hideous. Work Shit Out is decent, but that's an older track. It took them 6 years to produce a 5 song recording that seems to just be a compilation of singles. I hoped, when these guys hit, it might lead to better playing and more organic instrumentation in pop. Instead, it has people thinking this is what fusion sounds like. It's already getting votes as fusion on RYM. For fucks sake
